Counselor
Mission
TIS school counselors deliver a comprehensive school counseling program that supports the academic, postsecondary, and social/emotional development of all students to ensure their success in school and beyond.
Vision
TIS counselors empower all students to become compassionate leaders, resilient problem-solvers, and independent lifelong learners.
Goals
Welcome to the Guidance and Counseling department at TIS! Ms. Heinrich and Ms. Abbott are excited to serve as your school counselors. We hold many roles at TIS but our greatest goals include helping our students:
* Learn strategies for managing emotions and building interpersonal skills
* Build character through the framework of our Great Expectations Life Principles
* Begin planning for post-secondary opportunities by educating students on course options as well as exposing them to various college and career options each week through "Working on our Future Wednesdays"
