Transportation Changes

Transportation changes must be made prior to 2:00 pm. Parents must provide written documentation of their transportation change. Transportation changes include: car rider, bus rider, riding a different bus home, or walkers. Students may turn the documentation in to the front desk receptionist when they arrive at school. Parents must pick up their student prior to 2:00 pm or wait until dismissal at the end of the day. You must have your driver’s license with you to pick up your child early from school. If you ask someone else to pick up your child, they must be on the student emergency contact/release record.

Visitors

Visitors are still fairly limited inside school facilities during the 2023-2024 School Year.  If an appointment is needed to meet with campus staff, the meeting may be held virtually.

Lunch Visitors

We are excited to welcome lunch visitors throughout the week. Please see the calendar in the latest edition of the parent newsletter, the TIS Cougar Connection, for the day assigned to your child's last name. Make sure your child tells you what lunch they have in preparation for your visit. 

Below are reminders for parents visiting us during lunch:
 
  • Check-in at the front desk, providing your ID. 
  • Wear your visitor sticker at all times, ensuring that it is visible to all staff members. Return your badge to the front desk when lunch is over.
  • The designated area is at the wooden tables to the right of the Cougar Cafe entrance. Please refrain from leaving this designated area to visit with other students. 
  • If you see an issue in the cafeteria, please report it to the staff member on duty. Please refrain from addressing other students for any issue or concern that you may see.
 
*Please note that lunch visitors for the month of May are limited due to STAAR Testing and the last week of school. 

Car Rider Signs

At dismissal, TIS staff members will monitor and assist students to their vehicles. Parents must stay in their vehicles and wait for their students.  *Please have your car rider information card on display. 
 
*If you need a car rider information card, please visit the front office prior to dismissal.
