Samora Davis, Principal
Mrs. Samora Davis is honored to lead and serve the students and the community at Tomball Intermediate School this year and for many years to come as principal. She returns to a campus after recently serving as the Tomball ISD Director of Intervention and Languages Other Than English since 2016. In addition to that role, she was the District 504 Coordinator and Summer School Coordinator. She brings 17 years of experience in the field of education in both elementary and secondary to Tomball Intermediate. Mrs. Davis is a graduate of Sam Houston State University (‘01) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. She obtained her Master’s in Education as an educational diagnostician from Houston Baptist University (‘09) and her Master’s in Education for special education leadership from the University of St. Thomas (‘15).
Dr. Myriam Quintero Khan, 6th Grade Assistant Principal
Dr. Myriam Quintero Khan has the honor of serving as Assistant Principal at Tomball Intermediate School. Dr. Khan has 18 years of experience working in elementary, secondary, and college level. She has taught 3rd grade Bilingual, 9th thru 12th Spanish in Spring ISD, and has served as a team leader, teacher mentor, assistant principal, Alternative Teacher Certification Program field supervisor, dropout advisor and researcher at the University of Texas at Austin. Her passion as an educator is to collaborate with students, teachers, and parents in order to support student learning and create meaningful learning experiences that will prepare students to succeed in the career path of their choice. Dr. Khan earned her Bachelors of Liberal Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master’s degree in Education Administration from St. Thomas University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 15 years and they have twin boys (Matin and Isaac) who proudly attend Tomball Intermediate School.
Jennifer Moreno, 5th Grade Assistant Principal
Mrs. Jennifer Moreno is honored to serve as an Assistant Principal at Tomball Intermediate. She has 10 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher and instructional specialist. Mrs. Moreno served as a 5th grade ELA teacher in Cy-Fair ISD and the reading specialist at TIS. Her passion as an educator is to support the academic and social-emotional learning of all students. Mrs. Moreno is a graduate of The University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Sam Houston State University with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership. She lives in the Tomball community with her husband and 2 children. She is excited to continue to support the students, staff, and families at TIS.
Shannon Gutierrez, 5th Grade Counselor
Shannon Gutierrez is excited to serve the students, families, and staff at TIS. She lives in the Tomball community with her husband and 3 children who proudly attend Tomball schools. Mrs. Gutierrez has over 17 years of experience in education teaching pre-kindergarten through 8th grade students. Most recently, she served as an elementary school counselor in Cy-Fair ISD. She is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) and later obtained her Master's degree in School Counseling from the University of Texas- Tyler. She is passionate about building strong relationships with students and their families and believes in Aristotle's words that "educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."
Haley Agriesti, 6th Grade Counselor
Mrs. Haley Agriesti is the 6th Grade Counselor for Tomball Intermediate School. She is entering her 10th year as an educator and is honored to spend her first year as a School Counselor at TIS. She has worked in Tomball ISD for the majority of her career and loves being part of Team Tomball! She is extremely passionate about education and believes that every child is capable of succeeding. Mrs. Agriesti received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Texas Tech University. She is excited for the new school year and looks forward to meeting everyone!
