I am so excited to be starting my fifth year at Tomball Intermediate! I'm ready to make this the best year ever!

I graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2012 with my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education. I am a certified generalist for grades K-6 and have my ESL supplemental certification. I am also certified specifically in English, Reading, and Social Studies for grades 4-8. I grew up in a family of teachers, so I was destined to spend my career in the classroom!

I am originally from the small town of Whitewright, TX- about fifty miles north of Dallas. A few of my favorite things are reading the news, reading mystery novels, eating sushi, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

I believe that the key to my students' success in my classroom is constant communication between school and home.  Please feel free to e-mail, call, or make an appointment to meet during my conference time. Also, be sure to subscribe to my page so you will get automatic updates!

This first 9 weeks is flying by! We're off to an amazing start to this school year.

We will have a fiction unit test on October 8. This will be our major test grade for this 9 weeks. Their other major grades are their personal narrative and their book club project.

Our focus for the rest of this 9 weeks is our Book Clubs! Information is in Google Classroom. I've also created a page where you can find the rubric as well as project options. The students have created their own calendars with their own deadlines. Hopefully most of the work for their projects can be done in class, but it may require some work at home as we get closer to the deadline. Projects are due Oct. 10 and will be presented on Oct. 11.
