About the Teacher
I am originally from Wisconsin and moved to Texas in 1983. I have taught in Cleveland ISD, Houston ISD, and have been a teacher here in Tomball ISD for ten plus great years. Tomball is a wonderful place to live and raise a family as I have three fabulous children who were born in Houston, raised in Tomball. They have grown to be fine young adults with ambitious futures ahead of them.
Remote Learning Update
I hope you all are doing well with all of the changes that have been taking place recently. I wanted to let you know that we will begin our distance learning on Monday, March 23. I will continue using Google Classroom to post videos, assignments, and other resources as well as to communicate with your child. Be sure to have your child turn on their Google Classroom alerts so they will be notified when I post something new. I will continue to update my Edlio.
I have created a technology scavenger hunt for students to complete. This will help me see who has access to various types of technology from home and will help in future planning. This will be posted in Google Classroom on Monday with assignments for the week. (**Be sure your child is logged into their Tomball ISD Google account**) If your child does not have access to a computer/device or internet, please let me know so I can pass this information on to our district leaders. I believe everything I assign can be accomplished on a smartphone, but I do not want to make any assumptions.
Office Hours: I will be available in Google Classroom, gmail, and email to answer questions from students and parents daily from 9-3. If you need to speak directly to me, TISD has set up google phone numbers for us. My number is 281-826-4195. If I can't answer directly please leave a voicemail and I will call you back.
This is certainly going to be a new experience for all of us and we will learn as we go. I will make sure I do everything I can to support you through this and I know that you will support your child so they can do their part to become the best online learner.
You are all in my thoughts and I miss each of your children. I look forward to returning to normal life, but until then, stay healthy and safe.
