General Information

If you are new to TISD and are residing with family or friends, you MUST obtain an Affidavit of Residency. Please call 281.357.3100 x279 to schedule an appointment with Jimmie Shaw at our Central Office. We will not be able to register your child until you are given an Affidavit of Residency.

Documents needed to register your child:
  1. Proof of residency (electricity bill, gas bill, etc.) or Affidavit of Residency
  2. Child’s birth certificate
  3. Child’s social security card
  4. Driver’s License
  5. Shot records
We will not be able to register your child without the documents listed above. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Please remember that you must have your driver’s license with you to pick up your child early from school. This is a safety measure that has been implemented throughout the entire district. Also, if you ask someone else to pick up your child, they must be on the student emergency contact/release record. Again, this is for your child’s safety. Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation!
Transportation changes must be made prior to 2:00 pm. Parents must provide written documentation of their transportation change. Transportation changes include: car rider, bus rider, riding a different bus home, or walkers. Students may turn the documentation in to the front desk receptionist when they arrive at school. Parents must pick up their student prior to 2:00 pm or wait until dismissal at the end of the day.
For more information about Arrival & Dismissal Procedures and Transportation Changes please see School Policies.
  • In an effort to limit outside exposure and viral spread of COVID-19, visitors will be very limited inside school facilities during the fall semester of the 2020-21 school year. This decision will be reevaluated before the start of the spring semester.
  • If an appointment is needed to meet with campus staff, the meeting will be held virtually, if possible.
  • If a virtual meeting is not possible, only the person who makes the appointment may attend the in-person meeting to limit the number of visitors to the school at one time.

Lunch Visitors

We are welcoming parents back on campus to enjoy lunch with their children on assigned days to avoid overcrowding in the cafeteria. We love seeing our students' faces when their lunch visitors arrive! Please be reminded that all school visitors must have a valid driver's license available upon entry to TIS. Assigned lunch visitors are divided over 4 days, Monday through Thursday. Assigned alpha days for 2 lunch visitors per student are as as follows:

Monday: Last Name A-E

Tuesdays: Last Name F-M

Wednesdays: Last Name N-R

Thursdays: S-Z

All lunch visitors must sign up in advance using the link below during their student's assigned lunch time only. Due to limited space, we are only allowing two lunch visitors per student, per lunch.
