I love being a part of the Tomball Intermediate School family and the 6th Grade Math team! Before I got to TIS, I taught math and science classes for six years at a high school. I earned a Bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2012 and a Master's Degree from Lamar University in 2017. I live in Tomball with my husband, Geoff, my son, Jack, and my dog, Sadie.
I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My grandmother was a teacher and when I was little, I would go to the school with her in the summer to help set up her classroom. It filled me with excitement to peek in the classrooms and see teachers making bulletin boards and book displays. I could tell that they loved their jobs because, there they were, working in the summer just to have everything ready for their students! I was also fortunate to have wonderful teachers throughout my school career who really got me to love learning, inside and outside of the classroom. My goal is to do the same for the children who I teach.
