Welcome to 5th Grade at Tomball Intermediate!
In our Reading/Writing classroom, we practice the Co-Teach Model. Ms. Davis and I will be working together to provide the best instruction possible for our students. On a daily basis, your child will be receiving instruction from both certified teachers to better meet their individual needs. Parents are more than welcome to contact either of us in regards to questions, comments, or concerns about their child.

About me:
My name is Gwendolyn Pitarra and this is my 2nd year at Tomball Intermediate! I am so excited to be in Tomball and have absolutely enjoyed being apart of this family! I have taught previously at Klein High School and Keith Elementary. I love teaching and enjoy working with the variety of students and grade levels over the years!
I graduated from University of Houston - Downtown with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I am certified as a generalist for grades EC-6, generalist for 4-8, 8-12 English, EC-12 Special Education, and I have my ESL supplemental certification.
I have always lived in the Houston/Cypress area. I have always enjoyed coming to Tomball for the wonderful small town feel and the charming little shops!
I am married and have 2 wonderful children. We have a dog, a cat, and two horses that live in Tomball.
I believe that the key to my students' success in my classroom is constant communication between school and home. Please feel free to e-mail, call, or make an appointment to meet during my conference time.
