Math would be very confusing if rules did not exist. Problems with more than one operation & no rules can result in different answers for the same problem. Using GEMDAS can help us get the correct answer every time. In our real life version of the popular children's game, "Operations", one mistake in the problem could cause their patient to lose a limb! Our team of surgeons at Tomball Intermediate used GEMDAS & worked together to solve order of operation problems & save lives.‚Äč Students had a blast! (GEMDAS is the updated version of "PEMDAS". It stands for : G-Groupings E-exponents M-multiplication D-division A-addition S-subtraction)
